Here's to my great friend Jannah, who, first thing in the morning, grabs a cup of coffee and tunes in to bethsblog to see what's new. Not much, most days, but for Jannah, hope springs eternal. She has been a faithful reader since this blogs inception in 2006.
I'm afraid my rate-of-posting has lagged since then... when all fired up over my shiney new blog, I posted daily... sometimes twice. Lately, my goal has been to post weekly, but that's often just a pipe dream. Travel, art-making, teaching, cooking, and that irresistible brain-candy that is Facebook have devoured some of my blogging mojo. Plus, my posts have tended to be longer lately, requiring more editing time... sometimes it takes a full week to edit a long post. (See Ann Lamott's Bird by Bird on "sh#tty first drafts.")
Longer is not necessarily better in this world of fast-food tweets which one can suck down much easier than time-consuming tomes. So here's a shout-out to readers like Jannah who keep checking, keep hoping, and when I finally do get out a post, take the time to sit back and read.
