This is a continuation of a previous post.
Things have settled down for my daughter, Amy. She’s at home, becoming intimately acquainted with her 4 bedroom walls and the two windows that are her world for the time being. Her symptoms have stabilized... no worse no better... the no worse part, that’s good news. Amy’s been home from the hospital for about 2 weeks now, in a holding pattern, and we are all hoping that the little guy keeps hanging in there until he’s big enough to go it alone. At 21 weeks gestation, there’s still a ways to go.
The best case scenario... the one I’m hoping for with all my heart, is that the placenta moves up where it belongs and Amy gets to get out of bed and get her strength back before the baby is born. Meantime, she’s becoming a pro-rester, the beneficiary of room service... numerous hugs, cuddles and snuggles from her 3 kids, ages 7, 4, and 2, when they’re not busy playing with their two awesome nannies, and has an extended vacation from cleaning, laundry, and cooking.
When this is all history and she’s holding that tiny new guy in her arms it will have been so worth it!
